I am pleased to inform you that the New York State Office for the Aging will be administering a new grant program for community empowerment initiatives that support aging in place. A competitive process will be used to select projects and activities to receive this funding. The New York State Office for the Aging will issue a Request for Applications (RFA) in the near future.
An abstract summarizing this funding opportunity and a form for requesting the RFA are enclosed. The abstract describes who may apply and provides information on available funding, key time frames and basic programmatic requirements.
I encourage you to review the abstract carefully and submit a completed form if you are interested in receiving a copy of the RFA.
