Every New York State county has a local Office for
the Aging that serves caregivers. Contact your local office and ask for the Caregiver
Coordinator if you need assistance.
The New York Elder Caregiver Support Program
assists informal caregivers - spouses, adult children, other family members, friends and
neighbors to care for older persons who need help with everyday tasks. Some local programs also
assist grandparents and other relative caregivers of children.
